94226) Schilling House (Burned Down) in Johnstown, MO Last Updated: 9/28/2014
The site of the infamous Schilling haunted house is located in Johnstown, MO about 1500 feet south of the town cemetery on the east side of the road. You can see the red barn (which allegedly still has slave shackles in it) and the grading where the house once was. A grave dowser claimed there were 148 bodies on the property. A team found large vertebrae at one of the sites, but it is unknown if it was human or animal. The site is believed to be an unmarked Civil War cemetery or Native American burial ground. The house was located on NE County Rd. 14503 and burned down within the last ten years. I included a photo of the house when it was standing around 2000. Somehow, I suspect the house's appearance has a lot to do with the claims of it being haunted.

94227) Theriault Exorcism House in Whately, MA Last Updated: 10/4/2014
Final home of Maurice Theriault. Theriault was believed to be possessed by demons that led him to abuse his wife and family. The Catholic Church performed a successful exorcism in 1985 and life returned to normal for many years until strange violent behavior began again around 1990. Around 1990, Theriault attempted to murder his wife with a shotgun. He severed her arm, but she was able to crawl into the road, but he dragged her back in to finish the job. Inexplicably, Maurice turned the gun on himself and shot himself in the head spraying pieces of skull and brain matter onto the walls of the living room. His wife survived the attack. Subsequent residents have claimed that objects move by themselves and strange sounds echo through the house.

Fleeing the violent haunting in her San Pedro home, Jackie Hernandez and her estranged husband moved into a trailer in Weldon, CA near Ridgecrest. The location is unknown and it is also not known if the trailer is still standing. Activity subsided for some time so that Barry Taff and other investigators believed they were dealing with a traditional haunt attached to the San Pedro home. Within a few months, scratching and howling sounds began emanating from a storage shed and other activity began happening again. The entity had followed her 300 miles to the Sierra Nevada mountains. The investigators held a seance inside the small trailer. The entity revealed he had been murdered by another sailor in a quarrel over a woman in 1930 and his body was dumped in the bay. Jackie's San Pedro home was the house of his murderer who escaped justice his entire life. Early 20th Century farmhouse featured on "A Haunting." In 2008, the Cain Family was allegedly tormented by the spirits of two young boys who had died in a house fire inside a house that existed on the property in the 19th Century as well as the ghost of Lillian Garber who was murdered by her husband Larry Garber on March 11, 1984 (Boone County Coroner Certificate). Garber was convicted of voluntary manslaughter and was released from prison probably in 1990s, since Ohio's penalty for VM is 3-11 years.

Former site of the Native American village Politana first erected in the late 18th Century and was abandoned by the Mexican War in 1846. St. Prophet Elias Church stands on the village site today and the graveyard is a vacant lot across the street. In 1897, citrus planters intentionally plowed over the 200 graves, many recent, spreading severed body parts and gore across the field.

94239) Intenzo House in Havertown, PA Last Updated: 12/29/2014
1947 house built on the site of a 19th Century farmhouse where the street's namesake, John Stanton, murdered his wife and burned her body. Stanton was convicted of the crime and presumably executed. No activity was reported in the house until archeological objects from a late friend's home were moved into the basement. There was allegedly some type of Peruvian grave charm, possibly from the Nazca Culture, that had been stolen by grave robbers. This charm supposedly had a demonic entity attached to it and it used the object to open portals into its world. Most activity ended after the house was blessed by a minister, but small scale activity is reported to persist.
